Our approach

We are not a vendor you hand work to. We are the bench you call when the calendar stops cooperating.

Most audit support is sold by the hour and staffed by whoever happens to be free. That is how review notes multiply and how a file comes back needing more work than it saved.

We built this practice the other way round. A small team of Chartered Accountants, each with real financial statement audit experience across industries, working only on audit and assurance and only for CPA firms. Small enough that the person who scoped your engagement is the person doing it.

The problem

The busy season math has never worked out.

Every firm we speak to is solving the same equation, and the variables have not moved in a decade.

01

The work arrives all at once

Your engagements do not distribute themselves evenly across twelve months. For a stretch of the year you need two or three more senior auditors than you can justify employing for the other nine.

02

Senior audit staff are the hardest seat to fill

Experienced auditors who can run a not-for-profit engagement or a benefit plan audit without hand-holding are scarce, expensive, and already spoken for by the time you need them.

03

Turning work away costs more than it looks

Declining an engagement rarely costs you one engagement. It costs the relationship, the referrals attached to it, and the years of work that would have followed.

04

Outsourcing usually trades one problem for another

Volume shops staff the engagement with whoever is available and hand back a file you have to rebuild. The hours saved reappear as review time, and the risk stays with your signature.

Services

What we actually do.

A deliberately narrow list. These are the engagement types our team has run repeatedly, which is the only reason to put them on a page.

01

Not-for-profit audits

Financial statement audits for nonprofit organizations — contribution recognition, net asset classification, functional expense allocation and the disclosures that come with them.

02

Employee benefit plan audits

EBP engagements including full-scope and limited-scope plan audits, participant data testing, contribution and distribution testing, and Form 5500 supporting schedules.

03

Single audits & Uniform Guidance

Major program determination, compliance requirement testing, internal control over compliance, and the schedule of expenditures of federal awards.

04

Government & Yellow Book audits

Engagements performed under Government Auditing Standards, including the independence, documentation and reporting requirements that separate them from a standard GAAS audit.

05

Commercial & financial services

Financial statement audits for commercial entities and financial services clients across a range of sizes, from first-year engagements to long-standing recurring files.

06

Bookkeeping & statement prep

Clean-up work, ongoing bookkeeping and financial statement preparation for the engagements where the numbers need to be in order before anything else can begin.

What changes

Capacity that shows up before the deadline does.

The point is not to move work off your desk. It is to stop the calendar from deciding which engagements you get to accept.

  • Take the engagement. Capacity stops being the reason you say no to a good client.
  • Protect the senior review. Detail testing comes back documented, so your review is a review.
  • Keep the margin. Peak-season coverage without a permanent salary attached to it.
  • Keep your methodology. We work in your templates and your file structure, not ours.

Why us

Boutique is a decision, not a stage we are trying to grow out of.

01

CPA firms are the only client we have

We do not audit your clients' competitors, and we do not compete with you for the relationship. Working exclusively with CPA firms keeps that clean and keeps our expertise pointed in one direction.

02

Chartered Accountants, not a rotating pool

Our team is qualified through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, with financial statement audit experience across industries and company sizes. The same people return to your file next year.

03

Audit and assurance is the whole business

We are not a general accounting outsourcer with an audit division. The practice was founded in 2023 around audit and assurance and has stayed there.

04

A U.S. base and an overlapping day

The practice is based in Woburn, Massachusetts, with the team working across time zones — which in practice means work moves forward while your office is closed and is ready when it opens.

How it works

Four steps, and none of them are a discovery workshop.

01

A call

Thirty minutes on what is actually on your schedule — engagement types, timing, and where the pressure sits.

02

Scope and terms

We agree the engagements, the sections we take, the turnaround and the fee basis in writing before anything starts.

03

Inside your file

We work in your methodology, templates and audit software, documented to the standard your reviewer expects.

04

Handback and review

Completed sections come back review-ready, with open items and judgements flagged rather than buried.

In their words

“Our goal is simple yet powerful — to provide a boutique experience and tailored services exclusively to CPA firms across the United States within the audit & assurance practice.”

FAQ

The questions partners ask first.

If yours is not here, ask it on the call — a direct answer is faster than a proposal.

You do. We work as support within your engagement — your firm holds the client relationship, the engagement letter and the opinion. Nothing about that changes.

Confidentiality terms are agreed in writing before any engagement begins, and we work inside the systems and access controls your firm specifies. The specifics are worth walking through on a call, because every firm's requirements differ.

No. We work in your templates, your file structure and your audit software. A file that comes back looking like someone else's methodology creates review work rather than removing it.

Our team's experience covers financial statement audits across a range of industries and company sizes. The practical answer depends on the engagement type and timing, which is what the first call is for.

That is usually the right way to begin. One engagement tells you more about how a team documents and communicates than any reference call will.

Earlier is better, simply because capacity is finite in a small practice. If your peak is approaching, the conversation is worth having now rather than when the first deadline slips.

Tell us the engagement types and the timing. If we are not the right fit, we will say so on the call rather than in a proposal three weeks later.
